Things To Do

Oglebay Park

Oglebay Park is often the main reason people come stay with us. Oglebay is a self-funded public park with tons of activities and history. Its renowned Christmas "Festival of Lights" brings travelers from all over the East Coast and even Canada, and its golf courses are first-rate. Their website will tell you more - but we recommend the Good Zoo, a nice dinner or weekend brunch at Ihlenfeld Dining Room, Speidel Golf Course, the Spa at the Oglebaty Lodge, as well as the new ropes course.

Explore Centre Market

The Famous Coleman's Fish Market is an open converted train station filled with art vendors and a variety of local delicacies.

Encircling Colemans are two small streets lined with unique shops and local goods. The area is called Centre Market and is about a 20 minute drive from Innisfree. Some of our favorite stores there are Paradox Book Shop, Puddleducks for esoterica, SMART for science projects and toys, and the Wheeling Brewing Company for local beers and modern food.

The Palace of Gold

The Palace of Gold is perched on a secluded hilltop in West Virginia, the Palace of Gold has the feel of a great, glittery treasure ship that somehow drifted off the set of a Bollywood production. A beautiful religious monument, and a wholly unique experience off a back country road in Marshall County, West Virginia.

Heritage Bike Rail-Trail

The Wheeling Heritage Trails running on the former B&O line are known locally as two trails that connect in downtown Wheeling: the Ohio River Trail and the Wheeling Creek Trail. The route is flat and paved, and beautiful signs along the way provide a self-guided tour of Wheeling’s past.
